I've just blocked some fat haters....
… and it felt goood!
My whole life I’ve sought to expose myself to a diversity of views, still do, wherever there is intelligence, you can learn about the human condition.
The old rule that your enemies can teach you things your friends cannot, is true.
Many of us in fat acceptance loathe the fact that it rarely come close to having thoughtful intelligent critiques. It is...
You might be ashamed of my body, but I'm not.

And you can’t force me to be, either.

OH HAHAHA SO FUCKING FUNNY. It’s so hilarious to demean* someone who may be the only pop star most young women can actually relate to physically. Just like it’s so hilarious to walk into a plus-size clothing store and openly mock the lingerie section, because, lo and behold, it’s plus-sized…

Take care of yourself
I was reading something the other day about some fat hating drivel or other and it said that we should show our anger about it.
Now goodness knows, I know how to get pissy, but I would not advise any fat person to cultivate the kind of extreme Pavlovian style sound and fury signifying nothing that haters are throwing at us. That’s when they train themselves to get vexed about the mere...

A well spoken piece of wisdom. The term was apparently coined by Kelly Brownell, the epitome of do as I say but what I cannot do (either) hypocrisy.

Don't excuse your fat hating

To protect children from ‘adult themes’. I don’t exactly have a problem with that, but their reasoning was ridiculous. They backed up this idea by the claim that Harvard found a certain percentage (can’t remember the exact details) of 9 year old girls want to be on a diet and feel good about…

The same old crap correlating weight with health, always from either skinny people who think they know everything because they spent an afternoon reading old NYT articles, or from fatties who are still buying into fat = unattractive and so are complicit in their own oppression. Fun.

Fat haters are such bores
One of the things I destest about fat acceptance is the low quality of skepticism, bores by the ton who do not get it at all.
Criticism is fine, when it actually criticising what is actually being said, its like a gift, having experienced the endless slew of those creating straw and burning it, I know just what a gift it is.
In some ways a movement is only as good as its critics and we are bang...

I really can’t get on board with the fat acceptance movement.
Can’t we promote ideal medically healthy body weight instead of just flat out not caring about a number on a scale.
Its not even about aesthetics. If you are overweight, you are damaging your body and you might be healthy now, but…
In a word, NO.
I could tell you why, but you wouldn’t understand.

I know I should love my body no matter the size and shape but I have off days. It’s hard doing the health at every size thing when you’ve spent your whole life hating your body. I feel like I’m in such a weird intellectual space. Some days I hate my body more than anything and treat it like shit….
